How does your flat-rate pricing work?
After a walkthrough, in person or by video, we send a written flat-rate estimate that names the crew, the truck, and one total price. That number holds on move day, so there is no meter running and no surprise at the end. For folks who prefer hourly, a two-mover crew with a truck is $179 an hour and a three-mover crew is $245 an hour. Local flat bands run from $460 to $670 for a studio up to $2,840 to $4,200 for a four-bedroom house.
Do you take a deposit, and is it extra?
A $150 deposit reserves your date and your crew. It is not an add-on fee; it comes straight off your final total. Until that deposit is in, the date is not actually held, since we only run eight trucks and good Saturdays in the spring fill up fast around Sterling and Ashburn.
What is included in the price?
Your local move includes the truck, the crew, fuel, and the basics that make a move go: furniture blankets, shrink wrap, dollies, and standard disassembly and reassembly of beds and tables. We wrap furniture as a matter of course. Boxes and packing materials are included when you book a full-pack; for a labor-only or self-pack move, you supply the boxes or buy them from us.
Can you pack for me too?
Yes, and it is not a problem. With our full-pack service our crew boxes the whole house, room by room, using our own paper, boxes, and blankets, from the kitchen cabinets to the garage. Plenty of customers have us pack the fragile stuff like dishes and artwork and handle the rest themselves. Tell us what you want and we will price it either way.
On a long-distance move, is it the same crew the whole way?
Yes. We hold US DOT and MC interstate authority and run long hauls with our own trucks and people. The crew that loads your home in Sterling is the same crew that unloads it in New York, Charlotte, or wherever you are headed. Your shipment never gets transferred to another truck or another company at a warehouse along the way.
Are my belongings insured during the move?
We are bonded and insured and carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. Every move includes released-value protection at $0.60 per pound per item at no extra charge. If you want fuller coverage, full-value protection is available for an added cost, and we will explain both options in plain terms before you decide.
Are you licensed?
Yes. No Problemo holds household-goods carrier authority from the Virginia DMV for local moves and US DOT and MC authority for interstate work. We are bonded and insured. We are happy to share our license details if you want to verify them before booking.
Are you a broker or a moving company?
We are the moving company, full stop. No Problemo owns eight trucks and employs our own uniformed W-2 movers who show up at your door. We are not a broker, a matching service, or a lead site that sells your job to whoever bids lowest. When you book us, you get us, the same crew you spoke to on the phone.
Do you have Spanish-speaking movers?
Yes. Mateo built No Problemo as a bilingual company, and most of our crew speaks English and Spanish. You can handle your whole move in Spanish if that is easier, from the first estimate with Tuan to the last box, and Yesenia in the office takes calls in either language.
Can you handle a last-minute move or a date change?
We try hard to. Saying no was the habit Mateo started this company to break, so when you need a quick turnaround or the closing date slips a week, call us and we will work to fit it in. With eight trucks we have some flexibility, but the sooner you reach out, the better your odds of getting the slot you want.
Do you move pianos and other specialty items?
Yes. Piano moves start at $389 and are handled on proper piano boards by a crew that has moved hundreds of uprights, baby grands, and consoles. We also handle gun safes, large appliances, pool tables, and oversized art. Mention the heavy or awkward pieces when you get your quote so we send the right crew and gear.
Can you store my things between closings?
Closings in this area rarely line up to the day, so this comes up a lot. When there is a gap between your move-out and move-in, we can arrange short-term storage and coordinate the delivery for when your new place is ready. Tell Tuan about the gap when you book and we will fold it into the plan and the quote.
Should I tip the crew?
Tips are never expected and never built into your quote, but they are always appreciated when a crew works hard for you. If you want to tip, cash handed to the crew chief at the end of the day is the simplest way, and it gets split with the team. How much is entirely up to you.
How far in advance should I book?
For a weekday move, a week or two is usually plenty. For Saturdays and for the busy stretch from May through September, two to four weeks is safer, since that is when everyone in Loudoun seems to be moving at once. That said, if you are up against a tight deadline, call anyway, fitting people in is what we do.
