People leave eastern Loudoun for New York for one of two reasons: a job that wants them in Midtown by Monday, or family four states away. Either way the run is roughly 250 miles, almost all of it I-95 north through Baltimore, past Philadelphia, and across the Jersey Turnpike before a bridge or tunnel drops you into the five boroughs.
