Local Movers in Sterling & Eastern Loudoun

Hourly crews on our own trucks for cross-town Loudoun moves, usually open the same week you call.

Shifting from a Sterling townhouse to a place near Route 7, or trading a Cascades condo for a rental by the Dulles Greenway, does not call for a month of planning. It calls for movers who knock at the hour they said and keep moving. We dispatch eight of our own trucks out of eastern Loudoun, so a Saturday across the county usually has an opening that same week instead of a wait running into next month.

The math is simple. Two movers and a truck cost $179 an hour, three movers $245, and either way the blankets, dollies, straps, and the tools to break down a bed and rebuild it come standard. Put down $150 to claim the date and it comes off the final bill. Mateo opened the doors in 2016 running these jobs himself, and since most of the crew speaks English and Spanish, the walkthrough goes in whichever one your family uses.

What a Day Across Loudoun Looks Like

Billing starts when the crew reaches you and ends once the last box is inside and you have signed off. On runs down Sully Road or toward the Beltway we set the departure to dodge the worst of the DC commute, so you are not paying for movers idling in traffic. A landing that barely fits a dresser, garden-apartment stairs, a sofa that has to stand on end, that is the work, not a surprise line at checkout.

Before a wheel turns you get a written flat-rate estimate, which the Commonwealth requires of any household-goods mover, so the figure you sign is the figure you settle. Cargo coverage on the load reaches up to $1,000,000, released value at $0.60 per pound.

Building Rules Along the Route 28 Corridor

Plenty of the complexes near the data-center stretch want a certificate of insurance and a reserved freight elevator before a dolly rolls through the lobby. Our office makes that call to the property manager ahead, so move day is not when you learn the dock is taken.

What You Get

  • Two movers plus a truck at $179/hr, or a three-mover crew at $245/hr, clocked door to door
  • Padded blankets, four-wheel dollies, lifting straps, and shrink wrap stocked on the truck
  • Beds, tables, and dressers taken apart and rebuilt at the address you are headed to

“My complex sits right off Route 28 and parking for a truck is a nightmare, so I warned them ahead of time. The foreman just said they would scout it on the way in, and by 8:15 the truck was tucked behind my building like it had always lived there. Two movers at the quoted $179 hourly, and the final invoice was exactly the hours times the rate. They wrapped my dresser drawers shut instead of asking me to empty them, hauled everything down three flights without slowing, and had me in the new place before the afternoon thunderstorm rolled through. I asked to move my desk twice after it was placed. Nobody sighed. Booking again when my lease is up.”

“We closed on a new build near Wellington Road and needed out of our rental the same weekend. Three guys, one long Saturday, zero damage on builder-grade white walls. Half the crew joked with my kids in Spanish. Easy choice.”

“Emptying a family property outside Middleburg is not a job for a crew that rushes. We had a quarter mile of gravel between the road and the house, a dining set that crossed the Atlantic in the 1920s, and a tack room nobody had sorted in years. Mateo came out himself, walked every room with a notepad, and sent a written estimate two days later that held to the penny. On moving day the men padded the banister before a single box moved, crated the mirrors and the grandfather clock, and backed the truck up that drive like they did it weekly. Not one chip, not one gouge in the plaster. My sister has already taken their number for her place in the county. Worth every dollar, and I do not say that lightly.”

Service Questions

How soon could you take a small move across Sterling?
Since dispatch runs through our own eight-truck fleet here in Loudoun, short cross-town jobs frequently land on the schedule inside the same week, and in the slower months a day or two out is realistic. Give us the date and you will hear exactly what is free.
Is the drive between my old and new place on the clock?
It is. Time runs from arrival at the first address straight through to the finish at the second, the loaded drive included. For hops across the Route 28 corridor we schedule around the commute so you are not funding a truck parked in traffic.
Do you require a minimum booking?
Local work has a two-hour labor minimum, which is plenty for the average studio or one-bedroom with margin left over. Past that we bill in quarter-hour blocks, so the total tracks the real time the crew spends on your job.
How is my furniture covered if a piece gets scuffed?
Each shipment carries cargo protection up to $1,000,000, with $0.60 per pound as the released-value standard. Anything with a finish gets padded and wrapped before it clears the doorway, and you are welcome to ask about stepping the valuation up on a particular item.
